Discovering God's Call

Each Daughter of Charity has a different story about how she discovered God's call. The call to live in close union with God while serving those most in need is one that is deeply personal. It may even be filled with the element of surprise.

The realization that God is asking you to come follow Him in a life of Community with others who share these same ideals may surface while praying, reading a passage from Scripture or other books, during a retreat or discussion with someone who has had an impact on your life or while volunteering for a worthy cause.

It may be an idea you have considered for a long time or one that has come to you during a significant moment in your life.
