St. Vincent de Paul told the Daughters of Charity that each time they went out to take care
of the poor they would find God. Thus, they experience God's presence in those
they serve, as well as during their deep moments of individual and common prayer together.
God touches lives in so many ways-in the smile of a child, in the eyes of someone
who is ill, in the courage of one who has hope in spite of a devastating situation,
in the heart of a parent who cannot provide for her children, and in the face of violence
that has been turned into peace.
There is no limit to the ways we experience God's love in our lives. This constant
presence is a source of strength and peace, as we strive to bring the Gospel message
of love and freedom to a world torn by violence and hatred.
How have you experienced God's presence in your life today?
